Our main content is is ITER, an international thermonuclear fusion experiment reactor that is expected to be a way to future energy. ITER, which was also a candidate for construction in Japan, is under construction in France but unfortunately due to the difficulty of the international cooperation projects, it is behind the original plan.

Therefore, we would like to appeal our LEGO-ITER based on correct engineering knowledge which is a results of our study on the structure of nuclear fusion reactor in France!
In this project, we will produce more sophisticated ones than the current LEGO-ITER at the ITER cite in France and release the process from the cite. This will lead to PR in our fusion research and outreach abilities.
The Kyoto University LEGO club is performing a workshop “Utilizing LEGO to make a nuclear fusion reactor” at Uji Campus from three years ago. We have pursued sophistication and tried to improve it in order to create a model that does not have an actual nuclear fusion reactor in the world and can realize the actual size. As a result, it was introduced on the official website of the ITER organization, and it was admired as “extremely real ITER made with LEGO”.
Also at the International Fusion Energy Conference(FEC) on hosted by IAEA held in Kyoto in October 2016, the latest LEGO-ITER was exhibited at the booth of the ITER Organization.
Regarding this project as well, we are requesting the ITER organization to provide support and place, and the members of the Lego Club of Kyoto University will visit France / Saint-Paul Les Durance, the ITER construction site, to show more sophisticated LEGO-ITER to the local staff.
