We propose fusion reactor system, not only for power generation, but also for fuel production via Biomass gasification process. To realize the “biomass-fusion hybrid system” that owes high energy conversion efficiency, we extensively study on hydrogen production technology, fusion reactor design, material engineering, and environmental impact. The Lego club of Kyoto University is a group mainly of graduate students, aiming at “sharing the state-of-the-art energy engineering model with the society by LEGO”. The students built ITER-LEGO including superconducting magnets, divertor, and test blanket modules (TBM) at the ITER Headquarters with the financial support of Kyoto University’s SPEC (Student Projects for Enhancing Creativity).
